Respecting of others’ dignityRespecting of others’ dignity – respectful treatment of every person, regardless of background, gender, or status.

Shay knew how to see the person in front of him first and foremost as valuable. He valued each person based on their abilities and contributions, and did not allow his own ego or knowledge to stand in the way of working together.
For example, when one of the team members had difficulty understanding a new technological system, Shay did not dismiss him or show any disdain. He sat down next to him, explained calmly and patiently, and took care not to harm his sense of professionalism.
“Believe me,” he smiled, “it took me ten minutes to figure that out too. So at least I saved you nine.”
This approach created a safe environment for him to learn, ask questions, and move forward together.
