More than 72 top-ranked players in Israel registered for the Table Tennis Association's opening competition for the Israeli table tennis season. For those who were not included in the competition and additional players (a total of 57 players), a compensation competition was held the next day at the Yeshurun School gym in Rishon LeZion.Competitions were held in 3 levels using a knockout system.
