๐ Peak Performance Center for Excellence in Sport and Values – In Shay Michaeli’s Light
– Establishing a Center of Excellence – In Shay’s Light, we are working to establish a center that will connect sport, values, and community.
๐ Establishing an Association
– The establishment of an official non-profit association for the management and operation of all activities, receiving donations in an organized manner, transparency with authorities and donors, and creating a stable foundation for continued activity in Israel and abroad.
The association is planned to operates under the English name ISRL (In Shay’s Remarkable Light) and the Hebrew name Le’o’ro Shel Shay (ืืืืจื ืฉื ืฉื meaning: In Shay’s Light).
– As of today: the ‘umbrella’ foundation managing donations is the Rishon LeZion Foundation, until the independent association is established.
๐ Competitive and Commemorative Sports
– The annual Top-8 Table Tennis Tournament (this year, during Sukkot on October-12-2025) โ a flagship event with top players, bereaved families, public figures, sponsors, and the community (for donating to the event, since we’re lack of small amount of money for the event-budget, see the donation section on the bottom of this page).
– Chess tournaments and community activities โ including collaborations with the Chess Federation and schools.
– Sports days and activities for children and youth in community centers and schools, inspired by Shayโs values.
๐ Education and Value Integration
– The โShay-valuesโ program โ workshops in schools, youth movements, and the IDF for instilling the 12 values that Shay Michaeli embodied. This activiry were initiated under the Shikma program, which is spondsered by: UJA Federation New-York, Joint Israel & Karnot Bituach Leumi, that will donate 50,000 NIS for the program out of the budget of 245,000 NIS that we need for the establishment of the program.
– Awarding โIn Shayโs Lightโ trophies and certificates โ recognition for students, volunteers, athletes, and others for exemplary behavior and for helping keep Shayโs legacy alive.
– Special activity days in schools โ educational programs combining games, sports, and values.
– Development of educational materials and value-based games (board game, inspiration cards, activity booklets).
๐ Digital Activity and Infrastructure
– Development and operation of the ShaySport platform โ a system for managing tournaments, leagues, and sports events in Israel and abroad, aiming to promote both sports and values. For that establishment of the platform and the corporate, we plan to raise 500,000 NIS from investors.
– โIn Shayโs Lightโ website โ expanding content, managing a memorial archive, updating events, and documentation.

– Digital content on social media โ campaigns, inspirational videos, testimonies, and interviews.

– Annual memorial and community events โ memorial ceremonies, educational conferences.

– Collaborations with associations and foundations โ integrating Shayโs values into existing social projects.

– Advocacy missions abroad โ meetings with Jewish communities in the US and Europe, combining sports and values.
– Collaborations with international table tennis and chess organizations.
Spreading the โShay-Valuesโ model among Jewish communities and schools worldwide.

– The โIn Shayโs Remarkable Light (ISRL)โ Scholarship Fund in memory of Shay Michaeli โ scholarships for outstanding young athletes and students recognized for value-driven achievements.
– Support for youth clubs โ strengthening chess and table tennis programs for children from underprivileged families.
